Lovely photos! My 7th great-grandfather was William Marchbanks, mentioned several times in the blog. His daughter, Nancy, Young (nee Marchbanks) made application in Pickens District South Carolina for a widow’s pension stating that at the time of her marriage to Levi Young she lived with her father on or near the Pacolet River near GRINDAL SHOALS in Union District South Carolina.
